For those who don't follow the blog's page on Facebook, you might be wondering why I haven't posted much lately. My USMC reserve unit was mobilized at the end of April for a deployment to Afghanistan, and I've been gone more than I've been home because of training before we go. We leave mid-August, and I'll only be home a couple more days between now and then. I'll try to check in here every now and then, especially if I encounter any interesting food while I'm away! Otherwise, I'll be back mid-March next year, and I look forward to trying more new recipes when I return.
Quick bonus recipe:
1 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
1 seasoning pack from oriental ramen noodles
Mix the two ingredients together and serve with vegetables or chips. It's one of my favorite new dips!
